How to Qualify for and Enroll in Medi-Cal

The first step to enrolling with San Francisco Health Plan is to see if you or your child qualifies for any of our programs. To figure out which program is right, we’ll ask a few questions about family income, age, San Francisco residency and in some cases, student or parental status. The SFHP Service Center is a place where you can go get information on health care access options that are available for you and your family. Our Enrollment Team is available, by appointment, to provide assistance with your Medi-Cal application.

Medi-Cal enrollment is open year round.

Open Enrollment is between November 1st and January 31st.
