The “SFHP network” are the group of participating (contracted with San Francisco Health Plan) providers and clinics. Additional services such as MRI, Dialysis, Durable Medical Equipment, Orthotics/Prosthetics, Home Care Supplies, and Family Planning are available to San Francisco Health Plan members through our network of contracted ancillary providers.
“Member’s medical group” is the group of doctors who work together and have a contract with SFHP to provide services to SFHP members. A medical group consists of physicians, specialists and other providers of health care services. Examples include the UCSF medical group (UCS), the SF Health Network (SFN), or the SF Community Clinic Consortium (CLN). Ancillary providers contracted with SFHP (“in SFHP network”) are also “in member’s medical group”.
